This is a digest of messages posted to: Parenting: 2-Year-Olds.2 vs 2T clothing?2 vs 2T clothing?Message #7: 2 vs 2T clothing? Posted by: mlgbears31 Date: Sep 22, 2009.I know that the 24M size is bigger than the 2T size at most places. 24M is for chunkier babies, while 2T is for the thinner, taller kids. I've never seen a 2, but Gymboree does their sizing up to 5T for "baby girls" and then from 3 to 12 for "girls. So they carry a 3T and 3, etc. From what I've noticed there, you would be right, the 3T is for the toddler shape, while the 3 is for taller, thinner big kids. Kayla is right at 25 pounds and she can usually wear 2T, but then some brands I swear she could still wear 12 month! Parenting: 2-Year-OldsAnnoying BehaviorInitial Message Posted by: cinnabar66133 Date: Sep 22, 2009.DS has started this really irritating behavior that is driving me and DH crazy. We put him in his crib for the night and leave the room. 5 minutes later we hear him whining.... he has thrown either his doggie, blanky or binky, or sometimes all 3, out of the crib. I'll usually go up, give them back to him and sternly say no throwing, go to sleep. Then he'll usually do it at least 1-2 more times. We've tried taking the doggie, blanky and binky out of the room and telling him he's not getting them back. We let him cry for a bit and then go back and give it to him. But he's still doing it. Short of taking them for the whole night (in which case we would probably not get much sleep....), an
y ideas of how to get him to stop doing this? I know it's not unusual for kids to try to delay bedtime, but this is getting really old. He is delaying but he also knows you will give in & give them back. Tell him, when you put him in bed, that if he throws those things out of the crib you are not coming in to get them for him & stick to that. Ignore the whining, turn down the monitor, take a shower something to distract you from it. my rental car yesterday and they gave me a Mazda 5. I was really hoping they were going to give me a normal car but its more like a compact mini van. I have to say that its so nice to take DD in and out of the car seat and I kinda like it! My SO likes it too. I have my heart set on a Honda Pilot though so I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works out. We have to go out and buy a new car seat for DD ASAP! I will be doing that after work now that I can drive and not rush home before sundown. We are still waiting to hear from the insurance and what kind of settlement they will give us since my car is a total loss. Its a good car and can run for a few more years with some work. I am just giving it to my dad and he can do whatever he wants with it.Cars & Car seatsCars & Car seatsMessage #1: Cars & Car seats Posted

ek, part time, but we put DD in daycare for full time...this was only her third day and both today and yesterday she was wet when I got there to pick her up and her diaper leaked on the drive home....*sigh* This is one of the reasons I hate daycare...I am just gonna mention it nicely to DD's teacher.....anyone have any advice on dealing with the transition? DD's teacher said she is really possessive of the teacher and wants her to play with/hold her all the time....which is how DD is with me at home To make me even more wary today when I picked her up she was sitting at table w/other kids eating cake and some girl was taking care of the kids (not DD's teacher) and had my DD sharing a plate with another kid!!!!!!! And now she has a runny nose already and it's only the third day. Also she is coughing t

I'm gonna talk to her teacher but this just makes me really on edge about the whole transition.....this is why I stayed home the past two years........ughhhh.......I dunno what I'm going to do Thanks in advance for any advice on this....it's just a hard time for DD and for us!!!!!!dd update (TRIGGS)Initial Message Posted by: jlcohen78 Date: Sep 23, 2009.Some of you already know from my Facebook status but for those that aren't on FB: DD was admitted to the hospital yesterday after having 2 febrile seizures. DD ended up in bed with us on Monday night after having her 12 month vaccines. She was a bit cranky in the early evening so I attributed that to the shots. Bed time was normal but she woke up 2 times during the n
ight and ended up in bed with us. At around 3am, she was laying on top of me nursing when all of the sudden I noticed that she wasn't acting right. It's all a blur as to what set me off but all I remember is yelling at DH that she was going to have a seizure and to call an ambulance. We went through this 3 months ago so I was well aware of the routine and stripped her down to her diaper and put warm wash clothes at her pressure points. The seizure wasn't as violent as the one back in June but it did seem to last a bit longer. She never really fully came out of the episode until we got into the ambulance and even then she wasn't herself. Right before we pulled into the hospital she vomited and then started to seize again this time much more violent. She was still seizing as they rolled her into the ER and as such a whirlwind of people began to work on her. Before I knew it, she had an IV started and was crying from finally coming out of the seizure. It was interesting because
when she started to cry, the entire staff started clapping a cheering. Crying
