The next time you get this go with in 48 hours of noticing it and get the area swabbed/cultured and make sure the Doc "types it" so you will know if it is herpes for sure and also what type of heroes. Do you get oral herpes (cold sores)? If he is not having an ob and you use a condom when giving oral ( condoms do come flavored) you should be ok to protect yourself. If you do get an IgG blood test ask for a copy of the numeric test results and post them on here so someone can help you confirm your status and see if you need any more confirmatory testing. I am not sure where to start. I was recently diagnosed with hsv1 genitally 11 weeks after having a baby, my now 6month old is fine it's my 19month old i am concerned about. I had a primary outbreak and about 10days later my 19month old had blistering sores with a dark red background in a patch about 2cm on the outside of her vagina, of course i panicked and took her straight to my gp by the time i got to him the blisters had broken so he just swabbed the outside of the area.. this came back negative i was wondering how accurate this would of been as he didnt not get any fluids from the area. it seems ironic that she had this within days of my primary outbreak and has never had a nappy rash or any form or rash like this before. the area was not bothering her at all she had no other sypmtoms i applied paw paw and then a cold sore cream and it had significantly decreased within a few days. I am worried sick about this still what is the likey hood of it being hsv1? may thanks<

d I really do need to see a doctor... It seems there is ALWAYS some sort of pimple/rash/etc down there for about 2 months now. Last week I had a red rash that spread to about 3 inches then quickly subsided, leaving a dry skin that peeled off easially if touched. There was no pain, although it did look a bit moist. There was no visible ulcer or bump, just a solid red rash. Now, I have what seems like a tiny pin prick with a ring of the same dry skin in a circle around it. If I touch it, there is no pain, itchiness, etc. Also, the dry skin easially rubs off if I touch it.
