garden state (movie) Garden State?
Has anyone seen Garden State?  I am trying to find time to go, but the nearest theater playing it is in Boston and that's roughly an hour away... tough to spare 5 hours for a movie. If anyone's seen it, lemme know what you think? -N

I just saw GS today.  Very good, thought the first half was much better than the second, something special about the two of them getting together, but after that it dies down and becomes too *normal* -C Just saw it this last weekend - very good movie... my wife enjoyed it thoroughly as well...  I don't think she enjoyed the kinda pathetic-ish New Jersey humor as much as I did, but I spent too much time at my crazy grandparents' place down there when I was younger and can appreciate just how accurate some of it is.  It's funny 'cuz it's true Anyway, the movie itself was also quite good I thought.  I've read a couple things that have suggested Zach Braff tried to be too artsy in his _style_ and filmography and overdid the drama in the framing of shots and all, but I really found it very appropriate.... especially the soundtrack which was usually pretty silent, but when a song kicked in, really completed a scene.  For a movie that is largely silent in the background, you barely notice when the music kicks in because it's just so appropriate when it does kick in. Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot and thought I'd share the off-topic conversation here for once... -N
