Now that Priscilla is being re-released on R1, will we see a new R4 release here, this time one that isnt P&S and maybe one that includes a commentary and a load of extras like deleted scenes etc. I hope VR makes an effort with this one and keep up the good work it has done of late. Supe.

Priscilla was one of the Aussie films that made our movies indestry world class, it made lots of money here & over seas, won a few Oscars & was critically acclaimed around the world (IMHO), it should have got some specal treatment, but RoadKill just rushed out a P&S version, one of my favorite movies Butchered , bad roadshow, very very bad roadshow.

I own R4 Priscilla, its still a good film but I hate the way that RoadShow Butchered it but making it P&S, I ordered the R1 version & hope that MGM does a better job then RoadKill. Priscilla was one of the Aussie films that made our movies indestry world class, it made lots of money here & over seas, won a few Oscars & was critically acclaimed around the world (IMHO), it should have got some specal treatment, but RoadKill just rushed out a P&S version, one of my favorite movies Butchered , bad roadshow, very very bad roadshow. At the risk of sounding like a Roadshow apologist, may I point out that Roadshow was released DVDs like _Priscilla_ in Australia many months before anyone else was releasing DVDs at all. At that time they failed to correctly predict the future: namely that DVD would herald a change in viewing from P&S as the standard home format with widescreen as a low-volume videophile extra, to widescreen as standard. That's not to justify anyone releasing P&S _title_s today, but Roadshow's inability to accurately guess what would happen in the market is something that befalls us all from time to time.
