My Friday is today!!! We are going out of town for a little weekend trip with my niece and DD. It will be nice to get away even though the weather may not be what we were hoping for. Well, I will be waiting to hear how things are going for everyone. I have nothing to report. I am CD 9, but on manadatory TAB this cycle due to MC. It will be nice not wasting money on peeing on the OPK's this cycle, but I haven't put the th ermometer down yet.....obsession big time. Hope you have a good weekend and we can get some BFP's moving here! Baby dust to you all Almost FridayAlmost FridayMessage #1: Almost Friday Posted by: JENEGIRL Date: Sep 24, 2009.Lucky you!! I wish today were my Friday too! Have a nice mini-vaca!!! I know I could use one too! I am not testing this weekend but expect AF on Monday so you can bet that if she is a no-show on Monday I will be testing! My C has been very uneventful though and it is almost like I can FEEL AF lurking if you know what I mean. But even if she shows for me, I hope some others can get their BFPs this weekend bc this board REALLY needs that BFP train to get movin' again! Have a nice long weekend Angie!Almost FridayMessage #2: Almost Friday Posted by: Taylove11 Date: Sep 24, 2009.I agree, we definately need some BFP's on here big time. Your mini vaca sounds like fun! I hope you have a great time! We have a lot going on this week and weekend. My dad had surgery yesterday and is doing well now. Tonight, DH and I are playing in a softball game, my sister closes on her house tomorrow and we are going to go see it tomorrow night (they moved to our small town), tomorrow is also our farbabies birthdays so we are getting them some new toys, and Saturday is DH's birthday, so we will be going out for brunch and then spend the day doing whatever he wants. Plus, I'll be testing on Saturday. It may be too early, but I am hoping to give DH a nice B-day present! If AF doesn't show by Tuesday, I will go in for a bpt. Keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck to everyone else. Positive vibes all around.Almost FridayMessage #3: Almost Friday Posted by: aso0523 Date: Sep 24, 2009.Taryn -sounds like a busy but fun weekend.... I hope your dad is OK and has a speedy recovery. That is so cute about your furbabies birthday. I always give our cat a special feast on his birthday, I know we are lame but he is my furry baby! Good luck again with testing, as I said in a different post, don't be to discouraged if it is not positive since it is early. DH just might have to get a delayed B-day present, but I am sure it will be worth the wait.... Have a good weekend and I will look forward on Monday to seeing some positive news!!!!Midstream VS Test Strips??Midstream VS Test Strips??Message #1: Midstream VS Test Strips?? I have been lurking for awhile now and finally decided to stop being shy and introduce myself. Me and my DH have been TTC for forever it seems...I am trying for number 3 but this will my first with my new hubby. He does not have any children and is excited to have a baby. I was wondering if anyone knew how long you had to be TTC before the doctor would test him and me for for that matter...I know they say that it takes longer when you are older...but how much longer?? I am trying to keep my spirits up...but it seems like every month I get more depressed and cry when AF arrives... Thanks for any help you can throw at me! New to the boardsNew to the boardsMessage #1: New to the boards Posted by: WorryGirl80 Date: Sep 24, 2009.Welcome Wendy. I've heard that 6mo of TTC if over 35 and 12mo if under 35, before testing. How long have you been trying? Maybe it's time to get checked out since this would be a first for your DH too.New to the boardsMessage #2: New to the boards Posted by: QueenB73 Date: Sep 24, 2009.We have been trying since february of this year. I thought it was all me because of my age, but then I got to thinking...well it could be him since this is his first time trying to have kids...New to the boardsMessage #3: New to the boards Posted by: Taylove11 Date: Sep 24, 2009.Hello and welcome! I am sorry that your TTC journey has brought you this far. I know what you mean about getting upset at each passing month. This is a hard road to travel. Most doctors won't see you until you have been TTC for at least one year. However, if you are advanced materinal age (AMA), they will begin seeing you after 6 months of trying. I believe they consider AMA to be 35+ years old. I would recommend calling your doc and telling them exactly how long you have been TTC and tell them that you are concerned. If they refuse to test you, you could always try out a different doctor. Personally, my OB wouldn't treat me, so I went to see a GP. They did some minor tests, found out I had a problem and sent me to a specialist. You may want to consider looking around your area for a RE (reproductive endocrinologist). They are the specialists when it comes to fertility and will have the most knowledge. Most will except new patients without a referral. Best of luck and baby dust!!!!TTC (Trying to Conceive): 6 Months, Still TryingOT - Trigs -PG 2 times in 1 cycleInitial Message Posted by: aso0523 Date: Sep 24, 2009.Did anyone read this morning about the lady who get PG 2 times in one cycle. I just read your reply to someone about "AF lurking" I feel the same way I am not expecting AF until Wednesday so I'm hoping you'll get that BFP train rolling on Monday. Otherwise, if that witch shows up at your place just keep her please so she can't visit me! AshleyjlunvacInitial Message Posted by: Taylove11 Date: Sep 25, 2009.Hey there! How are you doing? Any adverse side effects? I hope all is well!Midstream VS Test Strips??Midstream VS Test Strips??Message #3: Midstream VS Test Strips?? Posted by: 0o0ashley0o0 Date: Sep 25, 2009.Hey. I bought the combo pack of test strips a few months ago. I wasn't really impressed with them, I used them for like 3 cycles and only got a positive OPK once. Don't know if I was just missing my surge or what - I think other people have used them and had OK luck. Anyways the test strips you have to pee in a cup and dip them, while the midstream you can just pee dire ctly on them. That's pretty much the only difference. They come with instructions on when to start using them. I would use your shortest cycle to decide when to start if your cycles aren't that regular. Otherwise just start the earliest recommended cycle day if you don't know at all how long your cycles are. I hope you are wrong!!! Since you are being treated by a speacialist and had an IUI is your doctor also watching your progesterone? Perhaps mention your short LP to him/her so they can monitor next C? IF this was a failed IUI when will you have your next one? Next C? How was your temp today? Did it go down again some more? I hope not! I was really crossing my fingers for you this C!!!!Pretty sure I'm outMessage #2: Pretty sure I'm out Poste d by: Taylove11 Date: Sep 25, 2009.Hey Jen. Yeah, they checked my progesterone previouly and everything was fine then. However, they didn't check it this C and they have never checked post O. I am definately going to mention it to them if this cycle is a bust. I will ask them to monitior it next C. We are hoping that we will be able to do IUI again next C. We will have to wait and see what they say though. I know that some doctors won't do back to back IUI's because it stresses the body. So, we'll have to wait and see what happens. But on the plus side, my temp went way up today. Yesterday it dropped to 97.74 and this morning it was 98.34, which is the highest it's ever been. Plus the spotting stopped. I did POAS this morning, and it was a BFN, like I expected, but it could still be too early. I am still keeping my fingers crossed for both of us!!!Pretty sure I'm outMessage #3: Pretty sure I'm out Posted by: Taylove11 Date: Sep 25, 2009.How are you holding up Jen? Will you be able to update your chart this weekend? I will definatly stalk it!!!
