cost of goods manufactured Last Question in Test 1
Colleagues, I did not do this question because I could not interpret the requirement correctly. I looked at it later at home and found that it was the easiest thing that could have been asked. I was beaten by the language and was not paying attention. These silly mistakes can cost us valuable marks in the Exam. Basically there two mixed costs: cost of good sold and the salaries and commissions. The requirement was to use the high low method only for the two costs, each treated separately and the cost equation for each was to be determined. My error was to try to get the collective cost and overral equation. Exactly what was NOT being asked. How did the rest of you find it? What fundamental errors in interpretation did you find or may be aware of?
