Dear Richard, I have just finished reading The Bible For Men and want to extend kudos to you as the author of this stimulating, thought provoking book.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and am anxiously awaiting its sequel. May I suggest that you consider, The Bible For Women as well, I really think we have a lot to learn from each other.  I would welcome and embrace such a lively and timely debate between the sexes!!!! This book is refreshingly honest in its approach to a highly sensitive, yet incredibly important aspect of male/female relationships.  It is said that the truth shall set you free , however, it takes a great deal of courage and conviction to live by these powerful words.  As a woman, I have always welcomed honesty, I think it is essential to maintaining the integrity  of any relationship.  If a woman knows from the beginning what the agreements are, then she feels respected, and she has options, which she can then accept or reject.  In this way, each person's point of view on monogamy or any other topic is respected, not violated. I recently came across another intriguing book by President Carter which deals with our societies morality.  In it, he dedicates a chapter to what he considers the desecration of women.  He cites the disparity which has historically existed between the sexes, and uses King Solomon as an example.  King Solomon had 300 wives and 700 concubines, yet, during the same era, a woman would have been stoned to death for being unfaithful to her husband.  As the author of this book so eloquently points out, monogamy is difficult for any sex, not merely for men.  It is my belief that as long as there exists any type of inequality between men and women, we will continue to create power struggles and conflicts.  When either sex enjoys privileges, whether sexual or in any other arena in life, there is an imbalance, and injustice is involved, and from this injustice, conflicts inevitably arise. In reading this intriguing book, I also found many similarities between the sexes, for example, the author writes about the deal where men reluctantly agree to be monogamous in order to enter into a sexual relationship with the female of his choice.  He cites that women are guilty of creating and perpetuating this deal.  However, this is also true for men.  Men also want the deal .  They want exclusivity and monogamy because they often  feel threatened that other men will find his lover as appealing as he does. I also enjoyed the author's use of spirits or inorganic beings to drive home his point in a surrealistic and even humourous way.  With respect to Self-Importance, both men and women are guilty of succumbing to physical attraction or chemistry , at times, dangerously overlooking fatal flaws.  The author is correct in encouraging us to look beyond the physical realm, into the deeper and more meaningful realms of spirituality, personality, philosophy and friendship. In conclusion, I have found this book to be very enlightening, revealing and timely.  Like the Inorganic being Death, it is my hope that this book will reveal a new path to a greater and deeper understanding of how to create successful, healthy, and soulful relationships that celebrate our unique differences while also acknowledging our similarities.   You never change things by fighting the existing reality.
